    Major League Cricket is in its final phase now. Only one match of the new tournament remains. It is the summit clash, where the Seattle Orcas, co-owned by IPL team Delhi Capitals, will take on Mumbai Indians’ sister franchise MI New York for the championship.

    It has been an entertaining season of the MLC tournament in USA, which aimed to grow the sport’s popularity in the United States. Interestingly, a lot of Indian players played in the tournament as American local players. Here’s a list of five Indian players who could not make much of an impact.

    1. Unmukt Chand had a strike rate of less than 100 in Major League Cricket

    Unmukt Chand played for the KKR’s sister franchise – Los Angeles Knight Riders in MLC 2023. Fans had high hopes from the former India U-19 captain. However, Chand managed only 68 runs in four matches. His average was less than 20 and his strike rate was below 100.

    2. Shubham Ranjane is yet to show his talent fully in Major League Cricket

    Shubham Ranjane is a former Rajasthan Royals player. He bats right-handed and bowls medium pace. The all-rounder is yet to bowl for Seattle Orcas and in six matches, he has scored only 33 runs at an average of less than 17.

    3. Tajinder Singh

    Former Mumbai Indians and Punjab Kings player Tajinder Singh scored only 22 runs in five matches for San Francisco Unicorns. He got out in single digits 5 times in four innings.

    4. Sarabjit Ladda

    Former Gujarat Lions and Kolkata Knight Riders spinner Sarabjit Ladda made his debut for MI New York in the first game. He bowled only three overs, where he gave away 43 runs and managed only one wicket.

    5. Jaskaran Malhotra

    Jaskaran Malhotra has already represented USA at the international level, but he is an Indian origin player. Malhotra played five matches for Los Angeles Knight Riders, scoring 48 runs. His average was less than 10.
