Over the years, several talented batters and bowlers have played for the nation.

    India have ample options available in all departments, including spin bowling. While spinners like Ravindra Jadeja, Ravichandran Ashwin and Yuzvendra Chahal have had long T20I careers, the following five spinners disappeared from the Indian team after playing just one T20I.

    1. Murali Kartik played 1 T20i for Indian team

    Former Indian left-arm spinner Murali Kartik had an excellent home series against Australia. He made his T20I debut against the Aussies after the ODI series and bowled a wicketless spell on debut. It proved to be his only T20I game.

    2. Karn Sharma played 1 T20I for Indian team

    Leg-spinner Karn Sharma made his T20I debut on the tour of England in 2014. He returned with figures of 1/28 on debut but never got another chance.

    3. Pawan Negi played 1 T20I for Indian team

    Left-arm spin-bowling all-rounder Pawan Negi bowled three overs on his T20I debut against the UAE. He played in Asia Cup 2016 but never played again.

    Off-spin bowling all-rounder Parvez Rasool earned a place in the playing XI for the Men in Blue’s match against the England cricket team in 2017. Rasool scored five runs and returned with figures of 1/32 but was dropped.

    Leg spin bowler Mayank Markande came into the limelight after his magnificent performances for Mumbai Indians in the 2018 edition of the Indian Premier League. Markande made his T20I debut against Australia in 2019. However, the selectors never picked him again.
