Mitchell Starc trapped Gill in the 2023 World Cup Final at the Narendra Modi Stadium, which is GT’s home ground. Starc is a big-match player also, which is why Gill would love to have him in the squad.
2. Shubman Gill may ask Gujarat Titans to bring back Lockie Ferguson
Lockie Ferguson played a big role in the Gujarat-based franchise’s IPL 2022 win. However, GT traded him away to KKR in 2023. Ferguson is back in the auction, and Gill could ask GT to buy him back because he has dismissed him in international matches plus he was a reliable bowler for the franchise.
3. Siddarth Kaul
Siddarth Kaul has been a wicket-taking bowler for Sunrisers Hyderabad in IPL. He plays for Punjab in domestic cricket, which is Shubman’s team as well. If needed, Gill can ask GT to sign Kaul at the auction.

Australian opener Chris Lynn was a big match-winner for the Kolkata Knight Riders when Shubman Gill started his IPL career. Lynn is in the auction pool this time, and Gill may want him as his opening partner.
