The IPL 2020 is underway in full swing and the players are looking in some great form this year. However, a few teams have struggled with their combination in IPL 2020. They have not yet found the winning combo and hence, the organizers have introduced a mid-season transfer window.

The rules are very simple for this window. Any player, capped or uncapped can be traded from one team to another. The only compulsion is that the player being transferred should have played less than two games for his first franchise. Mumbai Indians have done a brilliant job in IPL 2020, but their spin department looks a bit weak.

Here are the five players that MI might sign in the mid-season transfer window.

1.Imran Tahir

Imran Tahir was the most successful bowler in IPL 2019. He was a part of the Chennai Super Kings and won the Purple Cap award. Unfortunately, because of the overseas players’ limit, Imran Tahir has not got a spot in the playing XI of CSK in IPL 2020 so far.

The right-arm leg-spinner can become the top spinner for any other team that he plays for in IPL 2020. As mentioned ahead, Mumbai’s spin attack is not so strong and that’s why, they could hunt for Imran Tahir.

2.Mitchell Santner

Another Chennai Super Kings player that the Mumbai Indians might sign in the IPL 2020 mid-season transfer window is Mitchell Santner. The Kiwi spinner is warming the benches at CSK for the same reason as Imran Tahir.

Santner can not only bowl left-arm spin for his team, but he can also bat in the lower middle-order. Mitchell Santner could be signed by Mumbai Indians to add more names in their spin attack.

3.Sandeep Lamichhane

Nepalese leg-spinner Sandeep Lamichhane is a part of the Delhi Capitals team in IPL 2020. Despite having a good record in the Indian Premier League, Lamichhane has not received an opportunity to showcase his talent this year.

Lamichhane could be a great addition to the Mumbai Indians. He can defy the batsmen with his leg-spin bowling and googlies. Also, he will have the back of Rahul Chahar in destroying the opposition batting lineups.

4.Mayank Markande

Mayank Markande was a part of the Mumbai Indians squad in 2018. He impressed a lot and even made it to the Indian team after that performance. However, he could not replicate the same form in 2019.

Subsequently, MI traded him out to Delhi Capitals. Later, DC traded him to Rajasthan Royals. Unfortunately, the youngster has not got a chance to play in IPL 2020. MI need a good Indian spinner and Markande could solve that issue.

5.Mohammad Nabi

In case Mumbai Indians wish to sign a spin-bowling all-rounder instead of a proper spin bowler, Mohammad Nabi is the best option available. SRH are unlikely to use him in IPL 2020 anymore.

So, Nabi could join MI in the mid-season transfer window. He can be a solid finisher as well as a top off-spinner for the team. MI can form a great spin bowling trio by including Nabi in the squad.
