Abu Dhabi T10 2023 has started in the United Arab Emirates. Like every year, the T10 league is taking place at the Sheikh Zayed Stadium in Abu Dhabi. Apart from home side Team Abu Dhabi, seven other franchises, namely Bangla Tigers, Chennai Braves, Delhi Bulls, New York Strikers, Northern Warriors, Samp Army and Deccan Gladiators are playing in the competition.
This league is taking place just before the IPL 2024 Auction. Hence, the players who perform well in the competition stand a chance to earn a mega IPL deal. Here are five players who can perform well in Abu Dhabi T10 2023 and then earn a big IPL contract.
1. Roelof van der Merwe
Netherlands all-rounder Roelof van der Merwe has been quite impressive in ICC tournaments and SA20. If he can do a great job for Team Abu Dhabi, van der Merwe can return to IPL after a long gap.
2. Abu Dhabi T10 2023 is crucial for Dasun Shanaka
The last few months have been quite tough for Sri Lankan captain Dasun Shanaka. Having been released by Gujarat Titans, Shanaka will be keen to emerge as a match-winner for Bangla Tigers and return to IPL.
3. Abu Dhabi T10 2023 is important for Bhanuka Rajapaksa
Another Sri Lankan cricketer to feature on the list is Bhanuka Rajapaksa. Punjab Kings have released the island nation player. Rajapaksa will be playing for Chennai Braves in Abu Dhabi T10.
4. David Wiese
Namibian all-rounder David Wiese lost his place in the Kolkata Knight Riders squad. He is back in the auction pool, and a good performance for Deccan Gladiators can help him come back to the IPL.
5. Rilee Rossouw
Rilee Rossouw had a decent season with Delhi Capitals in IPL 2023, but he has been released. Rossouw will be in action for Delhi Bulls now. He will aim to score as many runs as possible to bolster his chances of an IPL deal.
