    The squad featured some of the biggest names of the cricketing world. However, they could not live up to the full potential. Here’s a look at India’s 2007 WC squad, and where the players are now.

    India’s star-studded top-order featured Virender Sehwag, Rahul Dravid, Sourav Ganguly, Sachin Tendulkar, Yuvraj Singh and MS Dhoni. Yet, somehow the team failed to qualify for the Super 8 stage.

    All players except Dinesh Karthik from this list have retired now. Dravid is the head coach of India, while Tendulkar is icon of Mumbai Indians. Irfan, Sehwag, Uthappa and Ganguly work as commentators. Yuvraj is the mentor of New York Strikers in Abu Dhabi T10, while Dhoni captains the Chennai Super Kings in the IPL.

    Bowlers of India – Ajit Agarkar, Sreesanth, Harbhajan Singh, Zaheer Khan, Anil Kumble and Munaf Patel

    Ajit Agarkar formed the pace attack of the team along with Sreesanth, Zaheer Khan and Munaf Patel. Anil Kumble and Harbhajan Singh formed the spin lineup. All six bowlers have now announced retirement from all formats of cricket.

    Sreesanth, Munaf and Harbhajan still participate in other T20 leagues across the globe. Agarkar is the chief selector of India’s men’s team, while Zaheer is Director of Cricket at MI. Kumble works as a cricket expert.
