While the monetary factor is obviously one of the top reasons, another important reason behind IPL’s popularity is the fact that the world’s best players participate in this competition.

1. Anukul Roy – Mumbai Indians

Former India U-19 star Anukul Roy made his Indian Premier League debut for the Mumbai Indians in IPL 2019. He has been retained in 2020 and 2021 but not received a place in the match squad. But Anukul has continued to contribute to the team as a specialist fielder.

2. Pawan Negi – Royal Challengers Bangalore

Pawan Negi is a part of the Kolkata Knight Riders in the 2021 edition of the Indian Premier League. But last year, he was a part of the Royal Challengers Bangalore team, and he performed well as a substitute fielder, taking some crucial catches for the franchise.

3. Jagadeesha Suchith – Kings XI Punjab

Another Indian all-rounder to appear on this list is Jagadeesha Suchith who is with the Sunrisers Hyderabad in the 2021 edition of the Indian Premier League. Suchith played for the Kings XI Punjab in the previous edition of the IPL. He took a magnificent catch to dismiss Manish Pandey in the match against SRH.

4. Lalit Yadav – Delhi Capitals

Lalit Yadav has played a few matches for the Delhi Capitals in the 2021 edition of the Indian Premier League. But he did not play a single game last year. Still, he contributed by taking some excellent catches.

5. Rovman Powell – Kolkata Knight Riders

Not many fans would remember but Rovman Powell played for KKR in IPL 2017. He could not make his IPL debut but fielded as a substitute on a few occasions.
