Over the years, the fans have got to witness some dream combos in the IPL.

However, not many fans remember all the squads correctly from IPL 2008 to 2020. Many players have not had an extended stay at a franchise, which is the main reason behind this confusions, but in this article, we bring to you the five player duos you might not know were once teammates in IPL.

1.Sachin Tendulkar and Stuart Binny

Sachin Tendulkar was the captain of the Mumbai Indians during the first few seasons. Under his captaincy, the Mumbai-based franchise reached the finals of the IPL 2010 season. Although MI could not beat the Chennai Super Kings in the summit clash, Sachin won the Orange Cap award and the Most Valuable Player of the Season award.

Indian all-rounder Stuart Binny was also a part of the Mumbai Indians squad in IPL 2010. He played only one match for the team in that season.

2.Manvinder Bisla and Rohit Sharma

Manvinder Bisla shot to fame after an epic knock against the Chennai Super Kings in the IPL 2012 final. He also won the IPL trophy with the Kolkata Knight Riders two years later. However, the one thing that fans do not know about Bisla is that he won the IPL in 2009 along with Deccan Chargers also.

Current Mumbai Indians captain Rohit Sharma was also a part of the Deccan Chargers squad in 2009. Thus, Bisla and Rohit were teammates at DC.

3.Virat Kohli and Sunil Joshi

It is very rare to see a selector and a captain playing together, but that thing has happened in the IPL, albeit 12 years before the two individuals got this new relationship.

Sunil Joshi, who is the current chief selector of the Indian cricket team was a part of the Royal Challengers Bangalore squad in 2008. Virat Kohli has been the face of this team since day one. Thus, the two were teammates in IPL once upon a time.

4.AB de Villiers and Tejashwi Yadav

In case you did not know, AB de Villiers played for the Delhi Daredevils in the first few seasons of IPL. He later moved to Royal Challengers Bangalore and became a big name in the Indian Premier League.

AB de Villiers had shared the dressing room with former Deputy Chief Minister of Bihar in IPL 2008 and 2009. Yadav was a part of DD then but he has moved to politics now.

5.Sourav Ganguly and Tim Paine

Sourav Ganguly is regarded as one of the best captains in Indian cricket history. The left-handed batsman gave many match-winners to the Indian team.

He captained Kolkata Knight Riders in 2008. Later on, he switched to the Pune Warriors franchise. During his time at Pune, Ganguly got the chance to play with current Australian Test captain Tim Paine. Unfortunately, PWI could not exist for an extended period in the IPL.
