It is tough for BCCI to allot a match to every stadium in the country because there are so many venues.

    Earlier today, the BCCI announced India’s home season schedule for 2024/25. India will host Bangladesh, New Zealand and England across different formats from September 19 to February 12. While venues like Chennai, Mumbai and Pune have received two matches each, here’s a list of five popular Indian stadiums which did not get a single game.

    1. One of the biggest Indian stadiums – Raipur

    Raipur’s Shaheed Veer Narayan Singh Patheek International Stadium hosted an ODI between India and New Zealand. The venue has a seating capacity of more than 50,000, but BCCI has not given it any matches in 2024/25.

    2. One of the new Indian stadiums – Mullanpur

    Punjab Cricket Association’s new stadium in Mullanpur hosted IPL 2024 matches. However, the new home venue of Punjab Kings did not get any international matches.

    3. Lucknow

    Another popular IPL venue to feature on the list is Lucknow. Uttar Pradesh’s Kanpur city has got the hosting rights of India vs Bangladesh 2nd Test, but Lucknow has missed out.

    4. Vizag

    Vizag hosted a Test match between India and England this year. Even Delhi Capitals played some home games at this venue, but in 2024/25, Vizag has not received any international matches.

    5. Trivandrum

    Kerala has one of the biggest fan bases in India as far as sports is concerned. The venue received a few international games last season, but it has missed out in 2024/25.
