    Fans would have noticed in the ongoing Women’s Premier League that teams can take DRS for wide and no-ball decisions as well. Even in IPL, this rule will be applicable as the teams can challenge decisions from the umpire regarding wide and no-ball.

    2. Team from Gujarat in first match of IPL season

    IPL started in 2008, and the upcoming season will be the first time a team from Gujarat will participate in the first match. Gujarat Titans will lock horns with Chennai Super Kings in this season’s opener.

    3. IPL 2023 will head to Lucknow and Guwahati

    Uttar Pradesh’s city Lucknow and Assam’s city Guwahati will play host to IPL matches for the first time this year. Lucknow is the home ground of Lucknow Super Giants, while Guwahati is the adopted home venue of the Rajasthan Royals.

    4. Kane Williamson vs. SRH

    For the first time in his IPL career, Kane Williamson will play for a team other than SunRisers Hyderabad. The New Zealand captain will turn up for the Gujarat Titans in this season.
