With the Indian Premier League becoming a ten-team tournament from 2022, at least more than a dozen of Indian talents will get consistent opportunities. In the previous campaigns, a few cricketers could not make their debut in the competition. This was mainly due to the presence of other established cricketers or players who suited the combination better. However, all such players are likely to get a chance in IPL 2022.

1) R Sai Kishore

R Sai Kishore is one of the uncapped Indians who could make their debut in IPL 2022. The Tamil Nadu man has been in top form in the domestic tournaments for a few years now. He was also part of the touring party to Sri Lanka earlier this year. A left-arm orthodox spinner, Sai Kishore is also known for his decent batting skills down the order. Hence, it is inevitable that he will make his debut in IPL 2022.

2) Tilak Varma

Tilak Varma, the opening batter from Hyderabad, has been showing good form of late. A few experts have also pointed out that he is a talent for the future. IPL Teams might need an Indian at the top of the order, and hence, Tilak could get a chance in one of the franchises. Although not an established one, Tilak can also offer a bit of off-spin, something that could prompt teams to sign him.

3) Akshay Karnewar

Akshay Karnewar falls into the rare category of bowlers who can operate with both hands. In the era of matchups, it is a massive advantage if there is a player who can switch his bowling hands within a spell. Akshay also adds more value as he is a big hitter in the lower order. He has also been in good form in recent tournaments. Hence, it is likely that he will fetch a decent amount at the auctions. He could also turn out to be a consistent part of an IPL XI.

4) Baba Aparajith

Baba Aparajith should have made his IPL debut long ago but could finally do that in IPL 2022. It seems the selectors have taken notice of his performance and recently included him in India A squad. Both in TNPL and in SMAT for Tail Nadu, Baba delivered both with the bat and the ball. This is a tempting combination for IPL teams as the player will add balance to the XI. Hence, Baba could make his debut next season.

5) Arzan Nagwaswalla

Arzan Nagwaswalla is also one of the uncapped Indians who could make their debut in IPL 2022. The left-arm seamer from Gujarat is restricted to the Test team at the moment but he could make his debut in IPL 2022. A left-arm bowler of good quality is low in production at the moment. Arzan has done well in the shorter formats in domestic cricket and hence, a few teams could take the punt to use him in their XI. That said, it would not be a surprise if the player makes his India debut by the time IPL 2022 begins.
