5. Prasidh Krishna (Kolkata Knight Riders, 69 dot balls)

KKR pacer Prasidh Krishna broke into the top 5 after delivering two extra dot balls making his count 69. He left CSK’s Sam Curran behind in the race. Krishna broke into the squad a few seasons ago as a replacement for Kamlesh Nagarkoti and never looked back since then.

He continued his fine run in the league since his debut and found himself a permanent position in the XI. His impressive run in the IPL saw him earn a national team call up as well.

Krishna has picked up eight wickets in IPL 2021 so far at an economy of 9.16, having conceded 243 runs.

4. Avesh Khan (Delhi Capitals, 72 dot balls)

At number 4, we have Delhi Capitals pacer Avesh Khan with 72 dot balls to his name in IPL 2021. He played eight games for the Capitals and was their key man in the attack with 14 wickets to his name. With a decent economy of 7.70, Avesh was in the race for the Purple Cap Award too.

Avesh Khan was the highest wicket-taker for the Capitals in the ongoing edition of the IPL and looked forward to bagging the Purple Cap Award while competing with RCB’s Harshal Patel.

3. Trent Boult (Mumbai Indians, 73 dot balls)

New Zealand speedster Trent makes it to the top 3 in the list, having extra bowled one extra dot ball. Mumbai Indians’ star pacer Boult picked up eight wickets so far this season and had a few wickets to remember too.

Talking about his bowling skills, MI had their hopes pinned on the duo of Trent Boult and Indian pacer Jasprit Bumrah to get them past the line in most games over the last few seasons.

2. Mohammed Siraj (Royal Challengers Bangalore, 74 dot balls)

RCB pacer Mohammed Siraj makes it to the number 2 on the list with 74 dot balls to his name. The Indian pacer struck six wickets in seven matches which is a bit on the lower side. But, Virat Kohli & Co were happy with the Hyderabad born player’s performance as he kept troubling the batters with several variations in line and length in IPL 2021.

Though he didn’t bag too many wickets this season, Siraj was a wonder-boy for the RCB team and could have done a lot more for the team if the league wasn’t suspended.

1. Mohammad Shami (Punjab Kings, 76 dot balls)

Punjab pacer Mohammad Shami sits atop on the list of the most dot balls bowled by a bowler in IPL 2021 so far, with 76 dot balls delivered across eight matches for his team. He bowled a total of 28.4 overs and picked up eight wickets at a rate of one wicket each game.

With a decent economy of 8.16, Shami was a man who would have defended any total kept ahead of him. He lacked quality support from his teammates, which saw the downfall of the Kings in the 2021 edition of the IPL.
