6 Former RCB overseas players who are playing for other teams in IPL 2021

Royal Challengers Bangalore have been home to some of the best overseas players in the Indian Premier League. Even in their current squad, the Virat Kohli-led outfit have big names like AB de Villiers, Glenn Maxwell, Kyle Jamieson and Daniel Christian are RCB overseas players.

AB de Villiers joined the Royal Challengers Bangalore team in the year 2011 and has been a part of the tournament ever since. However, not all overseas players have had such a long stint with the RCB franchise. Some of them are playing for other franchises now. Here’s a look at six such cricketers:

1. One of the top RCB overseas players – Marcus Stoinis

Australian all-rounder Marcus Stoinis joined the Delhi Capitals team in 2020. He is with the Delhi-based franchise in the 2021 edition of the Indian Premier League as well. Stoinis played for RCB in 2019.

2. Moeen Ali

Another overseas star who was a part of the Royal Challengers Bangalore team in 2019 but playing for another franchise now is Moeen Ali. The English star was released by RCB before IPL Auction 2021. Now, he is playing brilliantly for the CSK team.

3. Eoin Morgan

Not many fans would know that Eoin Morgan once played for the Royal Challengers Bangalore. He was a part of the RCB squad in 2010. He is captaining KKR in IPL 2021 right now.

4. Quinton de Kock

In one of the biggest trades in IPL history, Royal Challengers Bangalore had traded South African wicket-keeper Quinton de Kock to Mumbai Indians before the 2019 season. Quinton is still a member of the Mumbai Indians squad in 2021.

5. One of the top RCB overseas players – Chris Gayle

One of the most prominent names to appear on this list is Chris Gayle. The left-handed batter won back-to-back Orange Cap titles when he was an RCB player. Gayle represents the Punjab Kings team in IPL 2021.

6. One of the top RCB overseas players – Chris Morris

The last name to feature on this list is the South African all-rounder Chris Morris. The all-rounder made his RCB debut in IPL 2020. Despite a decent performance, Bangalore did not retain him. Rajasthan Royals then spent 16.25 crore to acquire his services at IPL Auction 2021. Morris is one of the highest wicket-takers in IPL 2021.
