The ICC T20 World Cup 2024 will happen in the United States of America and West Indies in the month of June. For the first time in cricket history, fans will witness a team from the USA participating in the ICC T20 World Cup.
Since they are the co-hosts of the mega event, both USA and West Indies have earned direct qualification. While West Indies are former two-time champions of the T20 World Cup, the American team does not have much experience. Of late, USA Cricket has recruited some Indian players.
So, there is a chance that the cricket universe might see the following six Indian players play against India in the 2024 T20 World Cup:
1. Unmukt Chand may play for USA
The biggest name present on the list is Unmukt Chand. He is a former U-19 World Cup winning captain and also won IPL with Mumbai Indians.
2. Sunny Sohal
Sunny Sohal has already switched from India to America. The former Deccan Chargers opener has represented them in international cricket.
3. Siddharth Trivedi
Former Rajasthan Royals pacer Siddharth Trivedi has switched to America to advance his career. Trivedi has a ton of domestic cricket experience under his belt.
4. Bipul Sharma may play for USA
Bipul Sharma was a member of the Sunrisers Hyderabad team that won the IPL 2016 title. But now he has retired from Indian cricket and shifted to the US.
5. Saurabh Netravalkar
Saurabh Netravalkar played for India along with KL Rahul in the U-19 World Cup 2010. Netravalkar is a main all-rounder of the American cricket team now.
6. Karan Viradiya
Another former India U-19 player to feature on the list is Karan Viradiya. He was found guilty of age fraud in 2013. After that, he moved to America and resumed his cricket there.
