Road Safety World Series 2022 is in its final phase now. The summit clash of the competition will happen tonight, where the defending champions India Legends will battle Sri Lanka Legends. Interestingly, these two teams played in the final match of the previous edition as well.
Fans might have noticed that there are some players who are in their 30s right now but are playing in this league of retired cricketers. 1. Leading wicket-taker of Road Safety World Series – Nuwan Kulasekara
Sri Lanka Legends fast bowler Nuwan Kulasekara is the top wicket-taker in this tourney so far. The 40-year-old has scalped 10 wickets and won the Man of the Match in the semifinal against West Indies Legends last night.
2. Leading run-scorer of Road Safety World Series – Shane Watson
Australia Legends captain Shane Watson has been the top scorer in the competition thus far. The 41-year-old all-rounder has scored 239 runs in just five matches.
3. Sanath Jayasuriya
Sri Lanka Legends all-rounder Sanath Jayasuriya is the 2nd highest wicket-taker in the tournament. He has picked up seven wickets in four matches. He bowled a spell of 4/3 against England Legends.
4. Bryce McGain
Australia Legends’ 50-year-old spin bowler Bryce McGain has picked up six wickets in four matches. He has enjoyed bowling in the Indian conditions.
5. TM Dilshan
Sri Lanka Legends batter TM Dilshan has scored 181 runs in five matches. He hit a hundred in the first game against Australia Legends.
6. Sachin Tendulkar
India Legends skipper Sachin Tendulkar has played some elegant strokes in the series so far. His strike rate in the tournament is more than 140.
