The big-hitters are in huge demand during the auctions and the teams prefer to have batsmen who can clear the boundaries regularly. In this article, we will look at the six players who have slammed more maximums than boundaries in IPL.

1.Andre Russell – 120 sixes

Andre Russell has established himself as one of the impact players in the Indian Premier League. The Caribbean all-rounder played for Delhi Daredevils and then switched to Kolkata Knight Riders.

The right-handed batsman has played mere 52 innings in the IPL, where he has slammed 120 sixes. In those 52 innings, Russell has also struck 96 boundaries.

2.Moeen Ali – 23 sixes

England’s left-handed batsman Moeen Ali became a part of Royal Challengers Bangalore in the IPL. The English player, who also bowls right-arm off-spin, has enjoyed playing in the league.

Ali has featured in 16 IPL games, hitting 20 fours and 23 sixes. The Birmingham-based player has also registered three half-centuries in the competition so far.

3.Thisara Perera – 26 sixes

Sri Lankan all-rounder Thisara Perera played for many teams in the IPL namely Chennai Super Kings, Kochi Tuskers Kerala, Mumbai Indians, Sunrisers Hyderabad, Kings XI Punjab, and Rising Pune Supergiant.

The left-handed batsman was known for his hard-hitting abilities. Although he did not play for a single franchise for an extended period, Perera hit 26 sixes and 23 fours in 30 IPL innings.

4.Daren Sammy – 18 sixes

Another all-rounder to feature on this list is the former West Indies captain Daren Sammy. The 2-time ICC T20 World Cup winner represented Sunrisers Hyderabad and Royal Challengers Bangalore in the IPL.

Sammy played only 20 IPL innings, where he hit 15 fours and 18 sixes. The right-handed batsman from St. Lucia also recorded one half-century.

5.Carlos Brathwaite – 16 sixes

Carlos Brathwaite came into the limelight after smashing four consecutive sixes off Ben Stokes’ bowling in the final match of ICC T20 World Cup 2016.

Brathwaite played for Delhi Capitals, Sunrisers Hyderabad, and Kolkata Knight Riders in the IPL. He got a chance to bat 14 times in IPL, where he fired 10 boundaries and 16 sixes from his bat.

6.Mitchell Marsh – 14 sixes

The last name on this list is Australia’s all-rounder Mitchell Marsh. The Perth-based player will turn up for the Sunrisers Hyderabad this year.

He had played for Pune Warriors India, Deccan Chargers, Sunrisers Hyderabad, and Rising Pune Supergiant in the past. Marsh batted in 14 IPL innings, and he smashed nine fours and 14 sixes for his respective teams.
