Many times franchises tend to stack up their squads with proper back-up options. They have a reliable secondary player for almost every player present in the first-choice playing XI. Sharma can also bowl right-arm off-breaks. He made his T20 debut in 2013, but he has played only 19 T20 matches so far. Some fans were amazed to see CSK bid for him in the auction. The franchise did not include him in the playing XI ,but Kshitiz can brag of winning an IPL trophy.

4. Kanishk Seth

Kanishk Seth was another talent signed by the Chennai Super Kings in IPL 2018 Auction. Seth has played for Railways and Bengal. He is an all-rounder, who bowls left-arm pace.

Kanishk has played 20 T20 matches in his brief career. Seth could not find a place in the CSK playing XI even once but he had the best time of his life, winning the IPL with the Super Kings.

Chaitanya Bishnoi is a Delhi-based cricketer, who is a part of the Haryana cricket team. Bishnoi is a left-handed batsman, who can bowl left-arm spin.

Bishnoi has been playing T20 cricket since 2016. He bagged a contract from the Chennai Super Kings in 2018. However, just like Kanishk Seth and Kshitiz Sharma, Bishnoi warmed the benches for the entire season.

2. K Vasudevadas

Kuthethurshri Vasudevadas is a Tamil Nadu-based cricketer, who won the IPL with the Chennai Super Kings in 2011. Vasudevadas never got a chance to showcase his talent in the yellow jersey.

Vasudevadas made his T20 debut back in 2007. After the 2011 season, he played a few domestic games. However, since his performance was not up to the mark, the left-handed batsman lost his place in the Tamil Nadu team also.

1. Hemang Badani

The biggest name to be a part of this list is the former Indian batsman Hemang Badani. The 44-year-old from Chennai played four Tests and 40 ODIs for the Indian cricket team.

Badani even scored an ODI hundred for Team India. In 2010, the Super Kings signed him in the player auction. While CSK won the trophy that year, Badani could never make his IPL debut.
