Royal Challengers Bangalore and Chennai Super Kings are two teams having a contrasting fortune in the IPL. The Bangalore-based franchise has not won a single IPL championship despite having a strong team every year. On the other side, Chennai Super Kings do not have a strong squad on paper, but MS Dhoni’s ability to get the best out of every player helps CSK succeed.

Watson could not perform up to the mark for RCB as he scored 250 runs and picked up 25 wickets in 24 matches. He then moved to CSK and in the last two years, Watson has scored 953 runs in 32 matches.

5.Kedar Jadhav

Maharashtra-based all-rounder Kedar Jadhav became a big name in the IPL after his extraordinary performances for Delhi Daredevils. RCB signed him after DD released him and he scored 309 runs for them in 17 matches.

Chennai Super Kings became his next home. He suffered an injury in the first match, but still won the match for his team. In 2019, he did not impress much. Still, CSK has retained him ahead of IPL 2020.

4.Parthiv Patel

Ahmedabad-based wicket-keeper batsman Parthiv Patel has not been a regular member of the Indian cricket team, but he has played in all the seasons of IPL. He started his career with CSK, scoring 516 runs in 3 seasons.

He has played for many teams in IPL and speaking of his record at his current team Bangalore, Patel has amassed 731 runs in 32 matches for Virat Kohli’s side.

3.Tim Southee

Tim Southee is the only foreign player in IPL history to play for Mumbai Indians, Chennai Super Kings, and also Royal Challengers Bangalore. Southee made his IPL debut as a part of CSK in IPL 2011, picking up four wickets in five matches.

His performance dipped a lot when the Kiwi pace joined Royal Challengers Bangalore. He conceded runs at an economy rate of 9.97, while he could only dismiss six batsmen in 11 matches.

2.Subramaniam Badrinath

Subramaniam Badrinath is a player who had a lot of potential but he could only realize it at the domestic level. Badrinath was a star for CSK in the first few seasons, scoring 1441 runs in 95 matches.

Unfortunately, the team released him from their squad and then he became a part of Bangalore. Badrinath could not achieve the same success with RCB and has retired from cricket now.

1.Albie Morkel

South African all-rounder Albie Morkel made a name for himself with his excellent batting performances for CSK. MS Dhoni transformed him into a match-winner as Morkel picked up 76 wickets and scored 827 runs for CSK in 78 matches.

Impressed by his good performance for CSK, RCB signed him for one season. Morkel could not provide the same returns as he scalped 4 wickets and aggregated just 45 runs in 7 matches of IPL 2014.
