Several big names like Jasprit Bumrah, Kieron Pollard, Trent Boult, Hardik Pandya, Krunal Pandya, and many others are a part of Mumbai’s IPL 2020 squad. However, it is not guaranteed that every star played bought by Mumbai will get an opportunity to play in the IPL. Over the years, there have been six players who joined Mumbai Indians but never donned their IPL jersey for a match.

Subsequently, he suffered an injury in 2015 and the team had to replace him with New Zealand’s opening batsman Colin Munro. Hazlewood will play for Chennai Super Kings in IPL 2020.

However, as Mumbai Indians had a solid top order in 2015 and they finished the season as the champions, the team management did not give Munro a chance to play. Colin later played for Delhi Capitals.

3.Philip Hughes

Philip Hughes shockingly passed away after Sean Abbott’s bouncer hit him brutally on the neck. Hughes was backed by many experts to become the next big thing in Australian cricket.

Very few fans might know Hughes was once a part of the Mumbai Indians squad. The Mumbai-based franchise won the IPL in 2013 and Hughes was a part of the squad, but never played a game.

4.Nicholas Pooran

Another foreign player to make his presence felt on this list is West Indies’ upcoming wicket-keeper batsman Nicholas Pooran. The southpaw was a part of the Mumbai Indians squad that won the IPL in 2017.

However, the team management did not use his services at all. Mumbai used Parthiv Patel as their wicket-keeper. As he was performing well, Pooran did not play a single game.

5.Alex Hales

Known as one of the best T20 batsmen on the planet, Alex Hales got his first IPL break in 2015 when Mumbai Indians signed him as Corey Anderson’s replacement. Hales was available to play the playoff matches.

However, the team management went with the experienced Lendl Simmons. Hales later represented Sunrisers Hyderabad and will not play in IPL 2020.

6.Kuldeep Yadav

Mumbai Indians has had a history of signing talented Indian youngsters. They unearthed talents like Hardik Pandya, Jasprit Bumrah, Saurabh Tiwary, and many others.

However, Kuldeep Yadav was a player who was a part of Mumbai Indians in 2012, but the team did not give him an opportunity to play. Yadav is a part of Kolkata Knight Riders in IPL 2020.
