Tyron Henderson received a massive deal from Rajasthan Royals because the tournament’s location was South Africa. The cricket experts billed him as the next Andrew Flintoff, and so, RR invested Rs. 4 crore for his services.

The all-rounder failed in the IPL as he could score only 11 runs and take a solitary wicket in the two games that he played.

Rishi Dhawan was the highest wicket-taker in Ranji Trophy 2014. This feat helped him gain a contract worth INR 3 Crores from Kings XI Punjab. The fans believed that he could be the all-rounder that the Indian team needed. IPL 2014 could have been his breakout season, but the uncapped player scalped 13 wickets in 14 games besides scoring just 82 runs.

His strike rate of 109.33 ensured that his career dwindled after that season. Dhawan only played seven more games in his IPL career.
