IPL 2021 saw some players not getting a contract. However, some of these cricketers could be in demand at the IPL 2022 Mega-Auctions. We take a look at seven such cricketers in the below headings.

1) Rovman Powell

Rovman Powell is one of the players who went unsold in IPL 2021 but could go for a top bid in IPL 2022 Mega-Auctions. The West Indian had a great outing against England recently. He has also been in good form at the domestic level. Moreover, apart from being a brute hitter, Rovman can also be relied upon for a few overs of medium-pace. Hence, he could earn a contract for IPL 2022.

3) Evin Lewis

Evin Lewis did play IPL 2021 but actually, he was unsold in the auctions. He later came in as a replacement for the UAE phase of IPL 2021. He had a few good games and hence, he can guarantee himself a contract in the IPL 2022 Auctions. Lewis is one of the best T20 openers going around and hence, he will attract bids from quite a few franchises.

4) Rassie van der Dussen

The South African batter is also one of the players who went unsold in IPL 2021 but could go for a top bid in IPL 2022 Mega-Auctions. Although he was close to signing up for Rajasthan Royals, that did not happen. However, after his show in the T20 World Cup and recently against India, RvD is likely to be in demand. He is a good player of pace and might take a place in the playing XI as a finisher.

5) Ben McDermott

Ben McDermott was in top form at the recent BBL. Going by the trend of recent IPL Auctions, BBL performers are usually rewarded. Ben is also a wicket-keeper and at least as a backup option, a few teams could be interested in him.

6) Sean Abbott

Sean Abbott has been in good form in the domestic leagues. He is a frontline bowler and can also smack a few big hits. The Aussie has played IPL before and hence, there is decent experience as well. This could make him pick up a contract at the auctions.

7) Tim David

Although he did play in IPL 2021 for RCB, Tim David was actually unsold at the auctions. However, he is sure to set the bidding room on fire on Feb 12th and 13th. He has been performing exceptionally well in all the T20 leagues and has earned himself the name of being a clean hitter. He also bowls decent off-spin and teams usually like such multi-utility cricketers.
