1.Tendulkar and Kohli are the only Indians to win MVP award in IPL

12 seasons of IPL have taken place so far, but in only 2 out of these 12 seasons, an Indian player has finished as the most valuable player of the tournament which is equivalent to the man of the tournament award.

While Sachin Tendulkar was the MVP in the third season of IPL back in 2010, Virat Kohli achieved the feat in 2016. However, both Tendulkar’s and Kohli’s team lost in the final match of the respective seasons.

2.Each ball of IPL 2020 will be worth around 23 Lakh INR

BCCI has sold the broadcasting rights of IPL to Star Network at a whopping price of 16347.5 crore INR for 5 years which equates to 3269.5 crore INR per year.

There are going to be a total of 59 games in IPL 2020, which means the worth of the broadcasting of every game will be somewhere close to 55 crore INR.

Assuming that all the 240 deliveries get bowled in every game of IPL 2020, one delivery of each game is going to earn BCCI an approximate amount of 23 Lakh INR.

3.Delhi Capitals have most scores of below 100 to their name

Delhi Capitals, which were earlier called Delhi Daredevils before they changed their name a couple of seasons back, have probably been the most inconsistent team in the history of the IPL and they also hold an unwanted record to their name. They have been dismissed below the score of 100 a total of 10 times in the IPL which is the most by any team in the tournament.

While we talk a lot about the no. of wickets a bowler has taken and judged them the basis of that, the dot balls are almost equally important in T20 cricket. Harbhajan Singh has bowled most dot balls in the tournament.He has bowled 1249 dot balls so far in the 160 IPL matches.

5.Delhi Daredevils (now Capitals) is the only active team to have never played a final

Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB), Kings XI Punjab (KXIP) and Delhi Capitals (earlier Daredevils) are the three active IPL franchises which have never won an IPL title, Delhi Capitals are the only one which have never even played an IPL final.

RCB played three IPL finals, in 2009, 2011 and 2016 respectively, while KXIP also played an IPL final in 2014.

6.Virat Kohli has been part of three double century stands

A double century stand is almost unheard of in T20 cricket. Even a team total of 200 is achieved in only a few of the T20 games, let alone a stand of 200 between two cricketers.

But, Kohli has had a stand of 200 three times in the IPL games with his batting partners at RCB which is commendable. It’s also a testimony to the fact that Kohli is the most successful IPL batsman of all time.

7.Aaron Finch has played for most no. of IPL franchises

Aaron Finch is going to feature for RCB in the upcoming edition of the IPL and RCB will be the 8th franchise that Finch will represent in the tournament.

The Australian white-ball captain has already represented Rajasthan Royals, Delhi Capitals (earlier Daredevils), Pune Warriors India, Sunrisers Hyderabad, Mumbai Indians, Gujarat Lions, and Kings XI Punjab in the past.
