    Cricket World Cups are the grandest stage for any cricketer to showcase their talent. The International Cricket Council organizes the mega events in two different formats – ODIs and T20Is. The 50-over World Cup happens once in every four years, while the T20 WC happens once in every two years.

    Many fans consider ODI World Cup as the top level tournament because it happens once in every four years, plus it is a much older tournament than the T20 WC. Only eight cricketers in India’s history have been a part of more than three Cricket World Cups. Here’s a list of the names.

    1. Sachin Tendulkar played in 6 Cricket World Cups

    Indian cricket legend Sachin Tendulkar owns the record on this list. He has appeared in six different editions of the mega event, with 2011 being the last one.

    2. Virat Kohli will play in his 4th WC

    Virat Kohli has joined the list of seven Indian players who played in 4 WCs. Kohli debuted in 2011, played in 2015, captained in 2019 and will play in 2023.

    3. MS Dhoni played 4 Cricket World Cups

    Former Indian captain MS Dhoni featured in four editions of the mega event as well. Dhoni played in 2007, then won in 2011 as captain, captained in 2015 and played his final match in 2019 WC.

    4. Kapil Dev played 4 World Cups

    Another former Indian WC winning captain to feature on this list is Kapil Dev. The former Indian all-rounder won 1983 WC as skipper and played in three other WCs.

    5. Mohammad Azharuddin played 4 WCs

    Former Indian skipper Mohammad Azharuddin captained in three consecutive WCs – 1992, 1996 and 1999. In total, he played in four editions of the mega event.

    6. Sunil Gavaskar – 4

    Little Master Sunil Gavaskar has played in four World Cups as well. After retirement, Gavaskar worked as a commentator in many editions of the WC.

    7. Anil Kumble – 4

    Anil Kumble also played in four different editions of WC. Kumble never won a mega event, but he led the Indian spin attack.

    8. Javagal Srinath – 4

    Former Indian pacer Javagal Srinath also represented the nation in four different editions of WC. Srinath’s last appearance came in the 2003 WC Final.
