    Some of the greatest batters of the game’s history have started their careers with a score of zero, while some started off with a century on Test debut. Shreyas Iyer became the most recent player to record a century on Test debut by scoring a hundred against the New Zealand cricket team at Kanpur’s Green Park.

    In 2013, Rohit Sharma made his Test debut and smashed a hundred against the West Indies cricket team. Sharma is currently India’s T20I captain and one of the best batters in all formats of world cricket.

    Another Mumbai-based batter to feature on this list is right-handed batter Prithvi Shaw. Like Rohit Sharma, Shaw recorded his maiden Test century while making his debut against the West Indies cricket team. Shaw has lost his place in the Indian team but has been performing well in domestic cricket and IPL.
