Cricket stadiums are the venues that host the matches. It is the dream of almost every cricket fan to witness his favorite team play at the stadiums. India is home to the world’s largest cricket stadium, which was opened last year in Ahmedabad. The Narendra Modi Stadium, which has a seating capacity of more than 1 lakh, hosted the IPL 2022 Final.
Several new stadiums have opened in India in the last few years, and the list will continue to grow. The following six marvelous cricket stadiums are currently under construction.
1. Jaipur Cricket Stadium, Rajasthan
Jaipur city already has one stadium named the Sawai Mansingh Stadium. It is the home ground of the Rajasthan Royals IPL team, but a new unnamed stadium is under construction in Jaipur right now. As per reports, it will have a seating capacity of around 75,000.
2. Gwalior International Cricket Stadium
Gwalior was the venue where Sachin Tendulkar scored his only ODI double hundred against South Africa. The city will have a new stadium soon, with a seating capacity of 50,000.
3. Nalanda Cricket Stadium
Bihar’s Rajgir will have its own cricket stadium named the Nalanda Cricket Stadium in the near future. Its estimated seating capacity is of around 40,000 fans.
4. ACA International Cricket Stadium
A new stadium construction has started in Mangalagiri, Guntur of Andhra Pradesh. It will have a seating capacity of around 35,000 fans.
5. Udaipur International Cricket Stadium
The state of Rajasthan will have a lot of stadiums soon. Apart from Jaipur and Jodhpur, Udaipur could also become a host of cricket matches with a cricket stadium being built in the city soon.
6. Baroda Stadium
The city of Baroda has produced some of the most talented all-rounders in Indian cricket history. According to the vice-president of Baroda Cricket Association, Sheetal Mehta, the stadium in Baroda will have world-class facilities, and it can start hosting matches from next year itself. The stadium is in Kotambi with a seating capacity of 30,000.
