India defeated Bangladesh by five runs on Wednesday. However, at one point, it looked like India would lose the match. The rain came in as the interruption but the match continued a few moments later after the rains stopped. Regarding this, there were a lot of reactions on Twitter. Here, we take a look as Twitter reacts to India vs Bangladesh game getting resumed on a wet outfield.
India vs Bangladesh game ends up as a thriller
It was raining heavily at the Adelaide Oval. At that moment, it really looked hard for India to win the match. However, the game was resumed after a short break. Many expressed concerns that the wet outfield would have an impact. Eventually, Bangladesh lost its momentum and India held its nerve to win the encounter in the T20 World Cup.
Twitter reacts to the rare occurence
A wet outfield actually affects the bowling side. However, after Bangladesh lost the match, Pakistan and Bangladesh fans started accusing BCCI and Team India of starting the match early. Here are some of the reactions on Twitter:
Today is the first time in world cricket history when a wet outfield and a wet ball helps the the fielding side and the spinners. Because it's India. This is the logic that's going around on Cricket Twitter right now. #Cricket #INDvsBAN

Why has ICC allowed to resume crucial match between India and Bangladesh on a wet outfield? Why didn't umpires allowed groundsmen to dry the outfield? Why umpires wanted the outfield to become heavier? Why umpires didn't wanted overs to cut? We all know the reasons! #T20WorldCup

Getting runout after slipping due to wet outfield and game is still on? Man, BCCI is really shameless.

If some folks, particularly across the border, actually believe that batting is the tougher thing to do on a wet outfield (with just over 9 runs per over needed), it’s hightime we offer help in arranging mental treatment for them.

Wet outfield only affecting the batting team while running, not the fielders- because BCCI has power and money 🔥

Players are slipping but BCCI is making them play in rain. Next time someone says money doesn’t matter just slap him hard.

Our fielders are also in the same wet outfield and they're more prone to slipping and getting injured no? https://t.co/XjFfOEO2X9
