MI Emirates will soon make their debut in the International League T20 tournament. Emirates Cricket Board (ECB) have launched their own T20 league named the ILT20, which features six teams. These six teams will compete against each other in an IPL-style tournament, with the winner taking the prestigious trophy home.

ILT20 has a lot of potential, and to attract the top names of world cricket, the tournament’s teams is offering the second-highest salaries to cricketers only after the IPL. Speaking of the IPL, there are three common team owners in ILT20 and IPL. Mumbai Indians have a sister franchise, named MI Emirates, while Delhi Capitals and Kolkata Knight Riders also have teams named Dubai Capitals and Abu Dhabi Knight Riders.

Mumbai Indians have an intense rivalry against the Chennai Super Kings in the Indian Premier League. They are reckoned to be arch-rivals in the league, but CSK do not have a team in the ILT20 tournament. Interestingly, a couple of players who have represented CSK in the past will be seen donning the MI jersey in International League T20. Here’s a list of those two players:
