The inaugural edition of the South African T20 League, the SA20 League has officially began. In the 2nd match of the tournament, it was the CSK owned Joburg Super Kings who took on the Durban’s Super Giants.
Batting first in the match, Joburg Super Kings were left in trouble by the Super Giants bowlers. Super Kings lost 4 wickets for 27 runs in the powerplay. But then, captain Faf du Plessis and Donavon Ferreira played a crucial knock for the team.
Ferreira is a hugely talented player and the world got to see it when he played the match winning knock for his side. Ferreira scored 82 runs from 49 balls and helped Joburg Super Kings (JSK) reach 190 runs.
In the end, despite a brilliant effort from Durban’s captain Quinton de Kock, the Joburg Super Kings won the match by 16 runs. Meanwhile, after his brilliant performance, the Twitterati are now demanding that Ferreira is picked by Chennai Super Kings. However, he has already been picked by the Rajasthan Royals in the IPL 2023 Auction.
