Gujarat Titans and Lucknow Super Giants were the two new entrants in the tournament. GT and LSG qualified for the playoffs along with Rajasthan Royals and Royal Challengers Bangalore.

    Several big names of world cricket came under one roof in IPL 2022. The best talents of the world were on display, but some of those top players will miss IPL 2023. Here’s a playing XI of such players.

    Batters – Robin Uthappa, Aaron Finch, Sam Billings, Rishabh Pant (c and wk) and Priyam Garg

    The batting lineup of this team consists of two overseas players. Veteran Indian player Robin Uthappa, who has retired from IPL, will open the batting with Aaron Finch. Aaron did not register himself for the auction, while Sam Billings pulled out of the tournament. Delhi Capitals captain Rishabh Pant will miss the season owing to his accident.

    Former India U-19 captain Priyam Garg was a part of the SunRisers Hyderabad team last season. Even though he did not do much wrong, Garg remained unsold.

    All Rounders – Kieron Pollard, Dwayne Bravo and James Neesham

    Kieron Pollard and Dwayne Bravo have established themselves as all-time greats of IPL. They have retired and taken up coaching roles in Mumbai Indians and Chennai Super Kings for IPL 2023. Former Rajasthan Royals all-rounder James Neesham remained unsold at the IPL 2023 Auction.

    Bowlers – Jasprit Bumrah, Prasidh Krishna and Nathan Coulter-Nile

    The bowling lineup of this team will be led by ace fast bowler Jasprit Bumrah. He is currently dealing with a back injury and recently underwent surgery for the same. Prasidh Krishna also had a surgery and will miss IPL 2023 for Rajasthan Royals. Former RR player Nathan Coulter-Nile remained unsold at the IPL 2023 Auction.
