ICC T20 World Cup 2022 is just around the corner. Almost all of the 16 teams participating in the competition have finalized their squads for the mega event in Australia. Since it is a big tournament, the teams have also named a few reserve players who could play for the team in case of an injury or any other reason.

Openers in reserves for ICC T20 World Cup 2022 – Soumya Sarkar and Fakhar Zaman
Bangladeshi all-rounder Soumya Sarkar will open the innings for this team along with Pakistan’s star batter Fakhar Zaman. Sarkar and Zaman are both left-handed batters who can also bat down the order if needed. Sarkar is also a valuable bowling option.
Middle Order – Dinesh Chandimal, Shreyas Iyer (c) and Afsar Zazai (wk)
Veteran Sri Lankan batter Dinesh Chandimal will play in the middle-order for this team, with Indian batter Shreyas Iyer being the number four batter as well as captain of the playing XI. Afghanistan’s Afsar Zazai will keep the wickets for the team. For the record, Zazai has scored 33 runs in two T20Is so far.
All Rounders – Deepak Chahar, Andile Phehlukwayo and Marco Jansen
Three pace-bowling all-rounders feature in the playing XI. Considering the pace-bowling friendly conditions in Australia, almost all teams have decided to take a few extra pacers Down Under. Deepak Chahar is among the reserves for India while Phehlukwayo and Jansen are on standby for South Africa.
Bowlers – Tymal Mills, Mohammed Shami and Ravi Bishnoi
English fast bowler Tymal Mills will lead the pace attack of this team along with Mohammed Shami. Leg-spinner Ravi Bishnoi will be the lead spinner of the team.
