IPL Auction 2024 is about to happen soon. Just a few weeks before the auction, all 10 teams have announced the list of players retained and released by them for the new season. The auction was expected to be a mini one, but some big names have been released now.
Due to this reason, the list of players who will be auctioned has become bigger and more star-studded. The list of players released by 10 teams is out, and here’s a strong playing XI from that group.
Openers – Manan Vohra and Harry Brook
Lucknow Super Giants released top-order batter Manan Vohra after acquiring Devdutt Padikkal in the trade window. Vohra will open the batting for this team alongside Harry Brook, who has been released by Sunrisers Hyderabad.
Middle Order – Joe Root, KS Bharat (wk), Rilee Rossouw, Ben Stokes, Jason Holder and Wanindu Hasaranga
Joe Root will bat at number three for this team. The Rajasthan Royals player made himself unavailable for IPL 2024, while wicketkeeper KS Bharat was surprisingly released by the Gujarat Titans. Rilee Rossouw and Ben Stokes had ordinary seasons with DC and CSK, respectively.
Jason Holder is a world-class all-rounder, but with Rajasthan Royals getting Avesh Khan in the trade window, they have released Holder. Wanindu Hasaranga won the Best Batter and Best Bowler award in LPL, but RCB did not consider him worthy enough to be retained for IPL.
Bowlers – Josh Hazlewood, Umesh Yadav and Adil Rashid
Umesh Yadav will open the bowling for this team along with Josh Hazlewood. Yadav was surprisingly let go by KKR, while RCB decided to end their association with Aussie pacer Hazlewood. Adil Rashid, who did not receive regular chances to play for SRH, finds himself on the IPL 2024 Auctionlist now.
