Kane Williamson is one of the gentlemen of cricket who plays the game in the best possible spirit. He never shows anger or involves himself in any controversy or fights. But the netizens are questioning his honesty after the cricketer claimed a dropped catch against England in the ongoing T20 World Cup.

The incident happened in the sixth over when Mitchell Santner was able to deceive Jos Buttler. The England skipper tried to lift the ball over the covers but ended up having a poor connection. As a result, the ball didn’t travel much as it went towards Williamson, who dived forward to get hold of the ball.

Although Williamson claimed to have taken a clear catch, the replay showed that the ball hit the ground. As a result, Buttler was called up to continue his batting. Later on, Williamson apologized to Buttler for getting his judgment wrong. Buttler then went on to score 73 off 47 balls before getting run-out.

Opener Alex Hales also got a fifty to his name and England posted a massive target of 180 for New Zealand. It is a must-win encounter for the Lions if they wish to proceed to the next round of the event. The Kiwis, on the other hand, are leading their group and will want to seal the semis spot with the win.
