The 50th match of IPL 2022 is underway at the Brabourne Stadium in Mumbai right now, where the Delhi Capitals are battling the Sunrisers Hyderabad. SRH captain Kane Williamson won the toss and elected to bowl first. The decision worked in SRH’s favor thanks to a dream start from Bhuvneshwar Kumar.
Speaking about what happened at the toss first, both teams surprisingly made a host of changes to their playing XIs. While the Sunrisers Hyderabad made three changes, Delhi Capitals made four changes to their match squad. Retained players Axar Patel and Prithvi Shaw missed out on this match, while Anrich Nortje made his return. Here’s what Rishabh Pant said at the toss:
“On this kind of wicket, you’re comfortable with batting or bowling first. Nothing changes for us. Four changes. Prithvi, Axar Patel, Chetan Sakariya are not playing. Mandeep, Ripal Patel, Nortje and Khaleel are in. Some of them are forced changes due to injuries. A few changes are based on the wicket.”
In the absence of Prithvi Shaw, Mandeep Singh opened the innings for the Delhi Capitals. Singh could not get going at all thanks to some great swing bowling from Sunrisers Hyderabad’s ace pace bowler Bhuvneshwar Kumar.

Bhuvneshwar bowled two in-swinging deliveries and two out-swinging deliveries. On the fifth ball, he bowled a little straighter and got the edge of Mandeep Singh’s bat. Wicket-keeper Nicholas Pooran made no mistake while taking the catch as DC were 0/1 after the first over.
