The schedule for the most awaited season of the Indian Premier League (IPL) has arrived and as reported, it will begin from the 26th March with a match between Chennai Super Kings and Kolkata Knight Riders in Mumbai’s Wankhede Stadium.
The Indian Premier League (IPL) is one of the richest and best T20 cricket league in the world. And it is taking a step further this term, as after a gap of 10 years, IPL will once again be a 10 teams affair with two new teams Lucknow Super Giants and Gujarat Titans coming in for their debut campaign.
As such, the IPL 2022 is likely to be one of the best ever. As like before, the IPL 2022’s opening match will be played between the finalists of the previous iteration of the competition, them being the Chennai Super Kings (CSK) and Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR).
Chennai Super Kings defeated Kolkata Knight Riders in IPL 2021 Final to win their 4th IPL Trophy. Now, both the franchise will play the IPL 2022 opener as well. Talking of CSK, let’s have a look at the full schedule of Chennai Super Kings in the IPL 2022.
The MS Dhoni led side open their campaign against the Kolkata Knight Riders on the 26th March. After that, they will face the debutants Lucknow Super Giants on the 31st March, that will be followed by the Punjab Kings and Sunrisers Hyderabad on the 3rd and 9th April.
CSK will then take on Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) on the 12th April and then Gujarat Titans on the 17th April. Next they have their biggest foe Mumbai Indians lined-up on the 21st April and then will again take on them on the 12th of May on the return leg of the match.
