According to rumours, MS Dhoni might hand over the leadership to another important player of the CSK set-up Ravindra Jadeja. And a latest tweet by the CSK franchise even more interesting.

CSK Social Media handle spark rumours of Captaincy Change

With all the debates going on captaincy switch in CSK, the franchise’s official Twitter handle today posted a cryptic tweet which has further sparked the rumours that Ravindra Jadeja will be taking over the captaincy duty of the Chennai based team.

Well the post, in a way that doesn’t reveal anything, but it includes a photo of MS Dhoni and Ravindra Jadeja hugging each other, which let to the fans further believe that Ravindra Jadeja will be the franchise’s captain for IPL 2022.

MS Dhoni is no doubt one of the greatest ever captain in world, who has India to all the ICC Trohies that there is. He has so far had a great time as CSK captain, winning the IPL 4 times, most recent being the 2021 edition, by beating the Kolkata Knight Riders.

However, with MS Dhoni aged 40-years-old, the management maybe are looking for option who can lead the team in the future edition, and MS Dhoni might wanna do it too and enjoy the game of cricket in his last phase of cricket career.

And probably there is no better option than Ravindra Jadeja to replace the legend. Jadeja is one of the most important player of the CSK set-up, and has featuring for them since 2012.

Both MS Dhoni and Ravindra Jadeja has been retained by the Chennai based franchise ahead of the IPL 2022 Mega Auction, with Jadeja retained as the 1st slot player, means he will earn 16 crore, while MS Dhoni, on his demand, has been retained as the 2nd slot retention and will be earning 12 crore. Other than them, they have also retained English all-rounder Moeen Ali and young Indian opener Ruturaj Gaikwad.
