This decision follows Rayudu’s earlier move to join the St Kitts & Nevis Patriots for the upcoming season of the Caribbean Premier League (CPL) 2023.

Additionally, Ambati Rayudu had initially been set to participate in the Major League Cricket (MLC) as part of the Texas Super Kings. However, he withdrew from the event due to personal reasons.

Kasi Viswanathan, the CEO of CSK, discussed the potential for Ambati Rayudu to join the Joburg Super Kings. He revealed that talks are in progress with captain Faf du Plessis and head coach Stephen Fleming, and it’s likely that the former Indian batter will become part of the team.

After securing victory with the Chennai Super Kings (CSK) in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2023, Ambati Rayudu retired from Indian cricket.

This decision rendered him eligible to participate in overseas leagues. It’s worth noting that the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) forbids players from engaging in foreign leagues until they retire from all forms of the sport.
