The Chennai Super Kings fans are the most excited ones for IPL 2020 because they will witness the return of their Thala, MS Dhoni for the time since Martin Guptill ran him out with a direct hit in the 2019 World Cup semifinal match. The wicket-keeper batsman’s performances will determine if he can play for India in the T20 World Cup scheduled to take place in Australia.

The Super Kings had finished as the runners-up in IPL 2019 as they lost the final by one run against Mumbai Indians. Talking about IPL 2020, Chennai have strengthened their spin bowling lineup with the addition of Piyush Chawla and R. Sai Kishore in the team.

They already had Harbhajan Singh, Imran Tahir, Ravindra Jadeja, Mitchell Santner and Karn Sharma in their squad hence, this decision surprised a lot of fans. Now, Chennai Super Kings have seven quality spin bowlers in the team but the cricket universe should note that seven of CSK’s league matches will happen at the spin-friendly Chepauk stadium.

So, the spin bowlers will have a big role to play. Besides, the Chennai fans will also be excited for the reopening of the restricted stands because MCC President R. Ramesh has clariid that the demolition of the illegal gym will soon start and the process will end in 4 to 5 days.

After that the Tamil Nadu Cricket Association will file a request to open the stands and most likely IPL 2020 matches will attract more crowd in Chennai. The locked stands were hurting the revenue generation of TNCA as there was a restricted entry in those stands since the year 2011.

But, with the reopening of the stands, the fans can hope that several big matches take place at this ground because it is one of the oldest cricket venues of the country.
