Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) chairman Ramiz Raja has called the Pakistani cricket team better than billion dollar team referring to ‘Team India’ as BCCI is the richest cricketing body in the world. The controversial statement came after the Men in Blue took an exit from the ongoing T20 World Cup.

India faced a humiliation against England in the semifinal match on Thursday (November 10). A blasting knock from Hardik Pandya and a fighting fifty of Virat Kohli helped India reach a moderate total of 168. However, Rohit Sharma’s side failed to give even a fight with the ball.

English openers Jos Buttler and Alex Hales never looked in any sort of trouble from ball one. They dismantled Indian bowlers with ease as if they were playing a domestic level cricket. As a result, the Lions registered a thumping 10-wicket victory to book their final berth at the showpiece event.

Pakistan, on the other hand, clinched a comprehensive victory against New Zealand to head into the finals. “Pakistan has left world cricket behind. There are teams with billion dollar cricket industry who have been surpassed by Pakistan in T20 World Cup,” Chairman PCB Ramiz Raja said.

Here’s how Twitter reacted:

Pakistan and England will lock horns on Sunday (November 13) at the iconic Melbourne Cricket Ground (MCG) stadium. Whoever wins will tie the record of the most T20 World Cup titles with West Indies, who have two to their name.
