The action will move to Sharjah soon, but almost every team has got an injury concern right now. The lockdown period would have had a negative impact on the fitness levels of the players, and here are the five players who are struggling with injury issues at the moment.

1.Dwayne Bravo – Chennai Super Kings

Caribbean all-rounder DJ Bravo was not a part of the Chennai Super Kings playing XI in the game against Mumbai Indians. Coach Stephen Fleming later revealed in the press conference that Bravo was out with an injury concern.

During the Caribbean Premier League, the all-rounder picked up a knee injury while playing for Trinbago Knight Riders. This was the reason why he did not bowl in the final. Since Chennai had the option of Sam Curran, they still managed to win the game.

2.Mitchell Marsh – Sunrisers Hyderabad

Sunrisers Hyderabad named Australian all-rounder Mitchell Marsh in their playing XI for the match against Royal Challengers Bangalore. However, the all-rounder suffered an ankle injury which did not allow him to field and bat properly.

While Hyderabad had a substitute fielder as Marsh’s replacement in the first innings, they had to allow him bat with an injury in the second innings. David Warner recently said that Marsh’s injury was very serious.

3.Ishant Sharma – Delhi Capitals

Ishant Sharma was going to lead Delhi Capitals’ Indian fast bowling attack in IPL 2020. The tall fast bowler had a decent showing in IPL 2019.

However, in the training sessions before the match against Kings XI Punjab, Ishant injured himself. There is no update on his recovery yet, but the Delhi fans will hope that he gets fit soon.

4.Ravichandran Ashwin – Delhi Capitals

Another Indian international player of the Delhi Capitals team who is out with an injury concern is Ravichandran Ashwin. The right-arm off-spinner injured his shoulder in the match against Punjab.

He bowled a dream first over, picking up two wickets for two runs. However, Ashwin could not bowl any further in the match. Ashwin has given a positive update about his recovery on Twitter.

5.Ishan Kishan – Mumbai Indians

Ishan Kishan was expected to feature in the Mumbai Indians’ playing XI for the match against Chennai Super Kings. Unfortunately, because of a shoulder niggle, he could not play.

Saurabh Tiwary replaced him and played a brilliant knock of 42 runs. It will be intriguing to see the decision that Mumbai takes after Kishan recovers to full fitness.
