Dhoni has played international cricket under Mahela Jayawardene as well despite the fact that the two of them belong to different countries. A series of three 50-over games were organized between Asia XI and Africa XI and ICC had granted ODI status to those three games.
Jayawardene had captained the Asia XI and Dhoni was the wicket-keeper of the side. Dhoni, in that series, scored a total of 174 runs in 3 games at an average of 87.
1.Rahul Dravid
Dhoni truly developed as an ODI player under the captaincy of Dravid. He used to bat in just one gear when he had first burst onto the scene, but he started to take more responsibility when he played under Dravid.
Dhoni didn’t just play cameos under Dravid, but he finished games successfully. The wicket-keeper batsman scored 1719 runs in 65 games at an average of 40.92 under Dravid.
