Rishabh Pant has become one of the best cricketers in India with his top-quality performances in all formats of the sport. Pant has already established himself as one of the top wicket-keepers in Test cricket history, and he continued that fine form in ODIs by smashing a match-winning hundred against the England cricket team yesterday at Old Trafford.
In the series decider of the three-match ODI series between the Indian cricket team and the England cricket team, Pant scored 125 runs off just 113 balls to help the Men in Blue win the series by 2-1. He smashed 16 fours and two sixes and completed his maiden ODI hundred.
Speaking at the post-match presentation after winning the Man of the Match award at Old Trafford, Rishabh Pant said:
“Hopefully I’ll remember this for the rest of my live. When I was in I wasn’t thinking of anything. I just wanted to focus one ball at a time and pace the innings. When your team is under pressure and you bat like that, that is something I aspire to do – to do well in pressure situations.”

The Man of the Match award winner in matches on English soil receives a bottle of champagne. Pant received one for his match-winning hundred at the Old Trafford Park, but he decided to give it to his former coach Ravi Shastri.
