IPL 2020 has begun, and many teams have surprised the fans with their playing XI selection during the first ten days. A few lesser-known players made the cut, while some seasoned pros missed out. Here’s a look at the one benched player from each team who deserves a chance in the playing XI.

CSK – N Jagadeesan

Chennai Super Kings received a major jolt when their star batsman Suresh Raina decided to skip IPL 2020. His absence left a massive hole in the squad’s batting section.

The team management has tried Murali Vijay and Ruturaj Gaikwad in the top order, but none of the two batsmen have clicked. Perhaps, the youngster N Jagadeesan deserves a chance now.

RCB – Moeen Ali

While the team combination of Royal Challengers Bangalore looks just perfect at the moment, somewhere the fans feel that Moeen Ali could make the team more consistent. He can take Adam Zampa’s place.

Moeen Ali can bowl four overs of off-spin and also hit some big shots. If needed, he can also bat in the top order. Thus, Moeen Ali should be included in RCB’s playing XI soon.

MI – Jayant Yadav

Mumbai Indians’ spin bowling attack has not impressed much in IPL 2020. Krunal Pandya and Rahul Chahar have struggled to trouble the opposition batsmen.

Thus, Jayant Yadav deserves a place in the match squad. Yadav could take either Pandya or Chahar’s place, depending on what the team management decides.

DC – Alex Carey

Delhi Capitals have won two out of two matches in IPL 2020. They seem to have found a winning combination that can perform consistently as well.

However, there can be one change to their team. That is Shimron Hetmyer sits out for Alex Carey. Hetmyer is yet to get going, while Carey scored a hundred against England recently.

KXIP – Mujeeb Ur Rahman

Mujeeb Ur Rahman is known as one of the best bowlers Afghanistan has produced. The young spin bowler had troubled the batsmen in the IPL during the last few seasons.

However, Punjab has not picked him in the playing XI so far. Perhaps, he can be a better option than Sheldon Cottrell or Chris Jordan, when it comes to overseas players.

KKR – Prasidh Krishna

Kolkata Knight Riders have surprisingly not picked Prasidh Krishna in their playing XI this year. Krishna had impressed one and all with his pace bowling skills.

The right-arm quick was even in contention for a T20 World Cup ticket. Kolkata can include him in the playing XI in the place of any other Indian fast bowler.

RR – David Miller

Rajasthan Royals need to pick three foreign players – Jofra Archer, Steve Smith, and Jos Buttler because of their great records. The fourth foreign spot is up for grabs until Ben Stokes joins the team.

Rajasthan tried David Miller in the first match and dropped him after an unlucky run out. Miller could prove to be handier than Tom Curran in IPL 2020.

SRH – Siddharth Kaul

Sunrisers Hyderabad need a consistent performer in the bowling section. Siddarth Kaul can solve that problems because he has done that in the past.

Kaul is a proven match-winner who needs backing. If SRH team management supports him and gives him chances, he can top the bowling charts.
