Meanwhile, Punjab Kings lost their most recent match against Mumbai Indians at the Wankhede Stadium in a thrilling match. Batting first, Mumbai scored 192 runs with Rohit Sharma and Suryakumar Yadav scoring 36 and 78 runs respectively. Chasing the target, Punjab were 5 wickets down for 49 runs and then 6 for 77 runs.

But, thanks to valiant efforts from Shashank Singh and Ashutosh Sharma’s 41 and 61 runs innings respectively, Punjab got close but eventually lost the match in the last over by 9 runs.
