Team India registered a thrilling victory over Bangladesh in the ongoing T20 World Cup on Wednesday (November 2). The game went into the last over before India clinched a 5-run victory. The valuable two points have solidified India’s case for the semifinals. Bangladesh, on the hands, have minimal chances of heading into the next round.

Virat Kohli once again shined with the bat as he scored an unbeaten 64 off just 44 deliveries. It was his third fifty of the showpiece event. He was also adjudged the player of the match for his match defining knock. However, Kohli made headlines for another reason after the match.

Bangladesh wicketkeeper Nurual Hasan accused Kohli of fake fielding which should have costed the Men in Blue five runs. The incident happened in the seventh over when Liton Das played Axar Patel’s delivery for a two. While Arshdeep Singh threw the ball towards the bowlers’ end, Kohli pretended to have the ball and gestured a throw to wicketkeeper’s end.

Fortunately for India, the umpire didn’t notice it and the play was resumed without any action. According to ICC rule, five runs are awarded to the batting team in case of ‘fake fielding’ that deceives a batter. Here are the best tweets:
