In a positive development ahead of the Indian cricket team’s ICC World Test Championship series against the Sri Lankan cricket team, the Punjab Cricket Association (PCA) has given a green signal to have fans at the PCA Stadium in Mohali for Virat Kohli’s 100th Test match which will start this Friday.

Last week, the PCA and the BCCI announced that there would be no fans in attendance for Virat Kohli’s 100th Test match because of the COVID-19 pandemic. However, the decision has now been changed. Many fans trended the hashtag #AllowCrowdInMohali because it is a landmark Test for one of the most successful captains in cricket history.

Now the PCA has decided to have 50% fans in attendance for the first match of the ICC World Test Championship series between the Indian cricket team and the Sri Lankan cricket team.

“Yes, 50 percent crowd confirmed for Mohali. Tickets will be sold online from tomorrow,” a BCCI official confirmed to Sportskeeda.

Fans should expect an electric atmosphere in the stadium for Virat Kohli’s 100th Test, especially when the star Indian batter comes out to bat. It will also be Kohli’s first Test after stepping down as the captain in the longest format of the game.
