IPL 2024 Auction is officially over. Lucknow Super Giants, who debuted in 2022, entered the auction with the smallest purse. Still, the Justin Langer-coached outfit managed to make some interesting signings and made up for the vacant positions in their squad.

Openers of LSG after IPL 2024 Auction – Devdutt Padikkal and Kyle Mayers
Devdutt Padikkal will likely open the batting for Lucknow along with hard-hitting all-rounder Kyle Mayers. Fans saw in IPL 2023 that Quinton de Kock was benched for Mayers, and the same trend might continue in the 2024 edition of the league as well.
Middle Order – Deepak Hooda, Nicholas Pooran (wk), KL Rahul (c), Marcus Stoinis, Ayush Badoni and Krunal Pandya
Deepak Hooda has received one more chance from the LSG management. He will be keen to make the most out of it. Nicholas Pooran will keep the wickets and also play the finisher’s role along with captain KL Rahul, who has reportedly asked the franchise to allow him to bat in the middle-order, keeping the T20 World Cup 2024 in mind.
Marcus Stoinis, Ayush Badoni and Krunal Pandya will be the three all-rounders. They can be the finishers and also bowl a few overs for the team whenever needed.
Bowlers – Mark Wood, Mohsin Khan, Ravi Bishnoi and Shivam Mavi (Impact Player)
Mark Wood will lead the pace attack of the LSG team along with Indian left-arm pacer Mohsin Khan. World number three bowler Ravi Bishnoi will lead the spin attack of this team. The Impact Player of the team can be either Shivam Mavi or Amit Mishra, depending on whether the pitch helps the pacers or spinners.
