The 19th match of the 2022 edition of the Indian Premier League is currently happening at the Brabourne Stadium in Mumbai, where the Delhi Capitals are crossing swords with the Kolkata Knight Riders. Prithvi Shaw and David Warner have provided an excellent start to the Delhi-based franchise. The Indo-Aussie pair added 93 runs for the first wicket off just 8.4 overs.
Varun Chakrvarthy broke the partnership by rattling the stumps of Shaw in the ninth over, but the Delhi Capitals opener had done enough damage by then. Continuing his good form from the last match, Shaw smashed seven fours and two sixes in his 29-ball 51.
Kolkata Knight Riders have a strong bowling department comprising the likes of Pat Cummins, IPL 2022 Purple Cap holder Umesh Yadav, Sunil Narine, Varun CV, Andre Russell and Venkatesh Iyer. But Shaw played his natural game and destroyed the KKR bowling attack.
David Warner supported him well. In a pre-match interview with the host broadcaster, Warner gave his views on the upcoming match against KKR and said:
“It’s about getting a win on the board (today), can’t get too far behind this early. It’s about going there and putting in our best efforts. Fielding is a big component of that and we’ll try our best to outfield Kolkata because that’s where games are won or lost.”

What a star.
Prithvi Shaw madness against KKR. Fifty in just 27 balls, back to back fifties by him. What a player, what a knock.

People might question who is better among young talents like Gill, Shaw, Ruturaj, Devdutt, etc but no one comes close to "Prithvi Shaw" when it comes to showing the intent, especially while batting in the powerplay and this is what separates him from everyone. 🔥
