That’s what we saw when the Tamil Nadu cricketer took his team Rajasthan Royals over the line against Chennai Super Kings with a brilliant win in match number 68 of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2022, sealing a top 2 finish for Rajasthan as well.

While Rajasthan Royals were in deep trouble in the match against Chennai Super Kings, having lost 5 wickets in 17 overs while chasing a target of 151 runs. But then, Ashwin took all on his own hand and scored 40 runs from 23 balls, taking Rajasthan over the line on the last over of the match.

With that such transition into a finisher, the Rajasthan player jokingl said that he called in the David Warner to finish things off.

Speaking in the post-match show, Ravichandran Ashwin said that he is quite glad to have managed to finish off the game for his side. He added that the team management is clear about his position and he just channeled the inner David Warner to finish things off for his side.

“I am glad to make it to the playoffs and super pleased. I just brought out the David Warner inside me,” said Ashwin. After his performance last night, he was also awarded the Man of the Match award.

With that win for Rajasthan Royals, they end their league phase of the competition 2nd and will now take on the Gujarat Titans in the Qualifier 1 in Kolkata on the 24th of May.
