The Blackcaps have traveled to Scotland for a two-match T20I series against the home side. Scotland won the toss and opted to bowl first, but the decision did not work in their favor. Playing in Edinburgh, the Scots ended up conceding 225 runs in their 20 overs. Here’s what Scotland captain Richie Berrington had said at the toss before the first innings:

“It looks like a good batting wicket and we will try to chase down whatever is put on the board. The last game we played against the Kiwis was in the T20 World Cup last year, we missed a few opportunities there, but it was a close one, we hope to redress those this time round.”
