Indian cricket team captain Rohit Sharma has an excellent record as the skipper of the Men in Blue. He has helped the Indian team win many T20I matches in the last few months and now in the ODI format as well. After leading the Indian cricket team to a 3-0 win in the home series against the West Indies cricket team, Sharma is now captaining the Men in Blue in their away series against the England cricket team.

Playing under the captaincy of Rohit Sharma, the Indian cricket team made history at the Kennington Oval earlier this week as he led the Men in Blue to their first-ever 10-wicket win in ODIs against the England cricket team. The second ODI of the three-match series is happening today. Sharma won the toss and opted to bowl first.

In the brief interview at the toss in London, Sharma said:

“We’re going to bowl first. Slightly less grass here for sure but it looks like there is some moisture on the pitch. Looking at the size of the ground we thought it’s better to have a score in front of us. We’ve got Virat Kohli back in place of Shreyas Iyer (big cheers follow). (On Jasprit Bumrah) He’s a quality bowler across formats. He’s come out and proved it again and again.”

Fans on Twitter love the way Rohit Sharma captains the Indian cricket team

One of the major reasons behind the success of Sharma as skipper is that he always gives his inputs to the bowlers. He also has a good idea about how he should rotate his bowlers in the lineup. Many times fans have seen that Sharma has a chat with one of the bowlers before a ball and the next ball is a wicket.

Earlier today, in the second ODI of the three-match ODI series against the England cricket team, Sharma had a word with Jasprit Bumrah before the final ball of the 49th over. The next ball, Bumrah bowled a perfect yorker and dismissed Reece Topley. Here are some of the top Twitter reactions to it:
